Tree Tagging Project – Year 6 Earth Day 2025
As part of their Term II project-based learning lesson, our Year 6 students took part in an exciting Tree Tagging project, combining environmental awareness with hands-on learning. Through this initiative, students identified and tagged trees around the school, researching their species, ecological benefits, and role in sustaining biodiversity.
Each tag in the form of a QR code tied to the tree provides valuable information, such as the tree’s name, place of origin, and its ethnobotanical use, helping our school community appreciate the importance of urban greenery. This project encouraged students to develop a deeper connection with nature while promoting sustainability and conservation efforts.
We are proud of our Year 6 students for their dedication to this meaningful initiative and invite everyone to explore the tagged trees and learn more about the wonderful flora around us!
